“Bones” joined the team in May 2017, but has owned a Yak 52 for many years! He learned to fly from his Father (and aerobatic author), Art Madore at 16 years old. Upon graduating college, he joined the Navy and flew the F/A-18 in Operation Desert Shield. Following his sea tour he was assigned to adversary duty flying the F-5E and F/A-18.
After leaving the Navy, Bones opened his own aerobatic and air combat school allowing civilians the opportunity to train in aerobatics and experience World War 1 dogfighting. He was also an air combat instructor at Air Combat, USA for several years. Bones flew for the Thunder Delfins L-29 formation team and performed airshows in Southern California.
Bones is an ATP with a solo low level aerobatics waiver. Not only does he have ratings for tailwheel and high performance aircraft but he also regularly flies his L-29 and BD5 Microjet. He is currently a captain on the 757/767 for UPS and has amassed 11,000 hours.
