“MADDAWG” is definitely the most experienced member of the team with 26,000 flying hours, more than a 1,000 of which are in formation! He started flying with the USAF in the ROTC and then spent 5 years as Instructor on T-33 and T-38 jets, teaching formation and instrument; was awarded a Certificate of Master Instructor.
“MADDAWG” then went to fly for American Airlines, where he stayed for 33 years and Captained the 727, DC-9, DC-10 and MD-11. In 2004 he started flying the Yak-52 and has over 500 hours on type and over 400 of those in formation.
“MADDDAWG” is an ATP and a FAST Lead, Instructor and Check Pilot.
